Have been chasing a refund for a large booking which had to cancel back in April 2020. We got offered a credit note which we didn't want. Eventually in Sept got offered the refund finally. Got told someone would be in touch in 14 days. They were in touch , then offered us more money to stay, we declined as just wanted our money back. They then said it could be up to 6 weeks for a refund to be processed. That time has lapsed and still no sign! Very frustrating as goal posts keep being moved and its now 8 weeks since the refund was initially requested. How long does it take to press a button!Very frustrating and won't be booking with them again as were very quick to take the money but not very forthcoming refunding. I appreciate their is a pandemic but that should not mean a refund should take a ridiculous amount of time!Update 4th jan: spa breaks promptly replied once they saw my grievance. They responded saying they would chase as a priority with the accounts department, still nothing has happend ? they cited Christmas as causing a delay. However I fail to see how a refund requested in September should be delayed due to Christmas!

Shocking service and lack of empathy during a GLOBAL CRISIS.Vouchers purchased as a gift but sadly due to the current pandemic unable to redeem an extension is not available despite most businesses have closed for best part of the year.

I had a voucher outstanding which I wanted to redeem and Alexi couldn't have been more helpful. He knew about the booking I wanted to make and tried to contact the spa (which wasn't open) so he said he would ring me back to confirm. I was a bit dubious having read some of the experiences on this site but he did call back as promised and my spa day is now all sorted!

Had to go through the credit card company to get my refund as Spabreaks where using every excuse possible in not being able to pay.You would also have to say the recent positive reviews seam to have very similiar tones...named person...praised heavenly....highly recommended...blah blah.Trustpilot need to address this.THIS POST HAS BEEN VERIFIED.

I decided to make a booking with spabreaks.com for the November Black Friday deals I made the booking for January due to Covid 19 it got cancelled I was then told I would receive a spa credit via email to rebook I never received this ??I then emailed twice in the customer service email had no reply’s I then called and was told I would need to pay extra as the hotel don’t do the package anymore what a load of rubbish but if I do pay they will do the package this is disgusting and disgraceful service I have refused to pay this as spabreaks say best price guaranteed and prices are fixed once booking after numerous phone calls received shocking customer service I was told someone will call me back not had any response the customer service team have no idea what they are doing after refusing to pay the extra I was then told by a lady called Naomi that my new booking would go ahead with no extra cost for the original venue I booked and that it was a technical issue I then asked for email confirmation she said I would receive it as there was another technical issue I then had a call from a guy called alexia and he said ok your venue booked for your new dates I take the remaining payment OMG this company is awful I work in the beauty industry online if we treated our customers like this we have no business I want this resolved ASAP if you can’t give me my package that cost over £400 for the price I payed I want a full refund I am entitled to this this is awful service from spabreaks I will never book again if I don’t get a refund I will take this matter to the official ombudsman I want a manager to call me please respond to my emails this situation is causing me major anxiety you should not be allowed to offer customers spabreaks if you can’t give us what we pay for I will await your response very very angry and upset with your service and I want this resolved quickly.Regards Chantal


Booked back in 2020 for a break that was cancelled due to Covid. I was made to make another booking, which I didn’t want to do, I simply wanted a refund. Booked again for 2021 which again has been cancelled due to Covid!!! I rang to say I would now like a refund, due to them not meeting the terms of my contract of purchase with them and with Covid laws I am entitled to a refund in these circumstances. When a company can’t provide you with what you have purchased for whatever reason and for the second time in my case, you are entitled to your money back!!! I was told on the phone to put it in an email to them, (my request for a refund) which I did, twice!!! I still have not heard from them so will now have to try the constant wait on the phone line to get through to them once again. This is no way to treat a customer. I’m appalled and I certainly wouldn’t book through them in the future.

Absolutely disgusting customer service and company! I booked a spa day back in March 2020 for my mother and I for Mother’s Day, soon after we went into lockdown. I emailed to say that the spa we booked was cancelled and where do I stand? I was told that the voucher is valid until March 2021 so can be used towards another spa day, which I thought, ok better than nothing. When we came out of lockdown I called to see if we could book the spa again to be told the spa like many others is not serving food and limited services. (The original booking I made was a cream tea spa day, so this was pretty pointless as not what I paid for) I was then told to call back in October, then November and then January. January 2021- I call, no answer. Call again the following day 15 mins, no answer. I call the next day. Again 15 minutes listening to the same repeated message of you can book online using your voucher code. Which may I add is complete bollucks. Still no answer! I am a key worker. I work from 5am in the morning till 5pm in the evening. So my only chance to call during there pathetic 10-3pm opening times is on my half hour break that I get. But it is absolutely impossible to get through. Which takes me to the repeated message you get to listen to when you attempt to call. ‘You can now book online using your voucher code’ I find a similar spa offering a similar thing to what I originally booked. So think great let’s book this online. Pick a date and BAM- ‘limited availability please call!’ I have now been emailing back and forth and still in the same position I was prior. Absolutely nowhere. I hope everyone’s money you have taken Spabreaks is going to cover you for a while. Because the reviews on this page is going to cause no future bookings. Surely refunding people there money for something they haven’t had and receiving fantastic feedback for the great help and customer service. Wanting them to rebook once this is all over, and ensure others book in the future, would do your disgraceful company more good than all these terrible reviews are going to do! Definitely will never be booking through this company again. I know the pandemic has caused many problems for companies, which is extremely sad. But you are making yours 10 times worse!

I booked a spa day with a friend back in February for the end of March, the booking was obviously cancelled due to the covid situation and we accepted to change the date instead of the refund. We tried to book again during the summer and then in October but the venue in Bath was not fully functional, so we changed again the reservation for November but unfortunately just a couple of days before our booking we went into lockdown.Now, our situation is very different from March, our jobs are less secure and this time we insisted for a refund explaining several times that we cannot afford the travel and accommodation to Bath. Moreover I have included in my email a link to Gov.uk where it states that customers are entitled to a full refund in these circumstances, but they have just ignored it and they can only copy and paste the same response every time.Is this good customer service? No, it's not! We have been patient and understood the situation initially, but they had no empathy or respect when dealing with our request. I am utterly disgusted and will not recommend Spabreaks and all the venues associated with it to any of my friends and family. It really shows the true colours of a company when during a pandemic they refuse to give somebody a refund and they don't even bother to give a proper reply.

Wanted to book a surprise for my wife and a close friend of hers for her birthday. Found this site and looked through some of the different locations available. Found one that I liked and then sent a small enquiry regarding the current refund policy due to covid and after one reply and a phone call to Simone I was satisfied with the information that I had been provided with, which lead to me booking a night away for my wife and her friend. Simon was very helpful from the start to the moment I booked and very professional throughout the whole process. If my wife has an enjoyable time I will definitely be booking again. Thanks again for the help

Naomi was ever so helpful and made the booking process very straightforward and understandable. She explained everything so clearly and made us feel very safe with the current situation. We will definitely be using spabreaks again!
